If you ask which skateboarder knows most of the tricks of skateboarding and who has shown the most variety as well, I should mention Rodney Mullen. 

You can see he can skate anywhere he wants, whether skate park, street, ramps, or any rough surfaces. He is very well known for all the existing freestyle tricks for which all call him LEGEND.

My Opinion

Rodney Mullen was super addicted to skateboarding. Although his dentist father did not want him to skate, he was adamant and started skateboarding at the age of 10. 

Finally, creativity, perseverance and hard work made him a very good skateboarder, and at only 14 years of age, he defeated Steve Rocco in Wasis Pro Competiton. 

If you ask for the one best skateboarder in my list, Mullen is the name I would mention.

Andrew Reynolds

Andrew Reynolds has been a famous skateboarder of all time. He really loved the Psycho Skate Video. He also loves Powell Peralta as a renowned skateboard besides his own brand: Baker.

Tony Hawk is well-known for Vertical Skating. He dominated Skate Competitions between the 1980s and 1990s. He invented a variety of skate moves like Ollie to Indy, Saran Wrap, Gymnast Plant.

My Opinion

What I like about Tony Hawk is he promoted the sport even after he retired from the competition back in 1999. He started a travelling show named “Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom HuckJam” for choreographed skateboarders, BMX bikers, stunt riders etc. My other observations are:

Tony Hawk just flies when he skates: smooth, quick and flexible!

He is Vert Skating Expert.

Tom Penny

Tom Penny is on our list because of his fluid motion and smoothness while skateboarding. In one interview, he says that his top influencers are  Daewon Song, Rodney Mullen, Danny Way, Chad Muska and Steve Caballero. And he says that they are interesting, funny, stylish and enjoyable.

My Opinion

Tom Penny has won so many competitions in his life that also makes him so famous around the world. He won Radlands UK Championships Contest in 1995 which is considered as a world’s biggest contest. 

Not only in Uk, but he also beat over 75 US professionals and 100 other opponents. Overall, his skateboarding is something to look for!

Daewon David Song

David Song is an American skateboarder who was named as the “Skater of the Year’ by Thrasher magazine” in 2006.

My Opinion

David Song is one of the very few creative skateboarders around the world. It’s his habit to come up with new tricks in skateboarding all the time. Overall, Song is a creative artist and boss in the skateboarding world.

Mark Gonzales

In December 2011, The famous magazine “Transworld Skateboarding” named Mark Gonzales as the “Most Influential Skateboarder of all time”. Mark Gonzales brought some changes to  street skateboarding, starting with big gaps and stair sets for the first time. He is a master in doing 360’s, double flips, flip tricks and other tricky tricks of grinds and slides.

My Opinion

Mark Gonzales is super classical on skateboarding. Especially on street skating, he does not fear skating on any kind of surface. You can find him on plain roads, rough surfaces, grills, besides lakes on grinds and slides, anywhere you never think of. In short, if you want to be an expert in street skateboarding, you have to follow his techniques and tricks carefully. 

Final Words

So, these are the favorite skateboarders of mine and to me, the best skateboarders of all time. Rob Dyrdek, Kris Markovich, Nyjah Huston are some other great skateboarders that you can follow.
